Graeme Duncan

I have served on the City Mission Board (then the Anglican Social Work Trust) since 2005. Joining was a personal desire to indicate me thinking of other people in our community. Over time City Mission has developed and with other projects in the pipeline the future looks good. This will continue the philosophy ASWT compiled many years prior.

I have lived all my life in Palmerston North, commencing work as an apprentice carpenter with McMillan & Lockwood in 1960, then joining the Manawatu District Council in 1990 as a building inspector before retiring in 2011. I have been married to Hilary for 56 years and we have two sons (one deceased), two grandsons and two granddaughters.

I enjoy working with the Bhutanese refugees at City Mission every Tuesday morning, and do gardening and maintenance for All Saints and St Oswalds Parishes. I enjoy attending both the Thursday and Sunday services at St Oswalds Parish. I also attend a local gym, am a member of Age Concern Mens Group and enjoy historical autobiographies and biographies.
